Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with strong clinical judgment, genuine leadership instincts, and the organizational precision to manage a complex, multidisciplinary environment. Reporting to the Medical Director and working closely with the CEO, you will be responsible for the clinical operations of our flagship clinic  from staffing, scheduling, and credentialing to quality improvement, regulatory compliance, IPAC, and the ongoing development of clinical staff. This is a senior, high-ownership role for someone who takes equal pride in clinical excellence and in the team that delivers it.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical operations and workflow management
  • Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the clinic, ensuring all care delivery processes run efficiently, safely, and in alignment with Stem Health's clinical standards and member experience commitments.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve clinical workflows, protocols, and standard operating procedures across all clinical departments  nursing, allied health, and diagnostic services.
  • Manage clinic scheduling and patient flow to ensure appointments are appropriately allocated, wait times are minimized, and clinical capacity is optimized across the multidisciplinary team.
  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for clinical operations issues identifying bottlenecks, resolving conflicts, and driving continuous improvement with urgency and composure.
Clinical staff leadership and development
  • Lead, support, and develop a multidisciplinary clinical team including nurses, allied health practitioners, care coordinators, and clinical support staff  fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, and develop individualized growth plans that support each team member's professional development.
  • Lead clinical onboarding for new hires  ensuring every clinician is fully oriented to Stem Health's protocols, systems, standards, and culture before seeing members.
  • Facilitate regular clinical team meetings, case reviews, and educational sessions to maintain alignment, share learnings, and elevate collective practice standards.
  • Recruit and interview clinical candidates in partnership with HR and the Medical Director, contributing clinical expertise to hiring decisions across the care team.
Quality improvement and patient safety
  • Develop, lead, and maintain a robust quality improvement program  establishing clinical KPIs, auditing care delivery against established standards, and driving measurable improvement across the team.
  • Conduct regular chart audits and clinical practice reviews to identify deviations, safety concerns, or opportunities to improve the quality and consistency of care.
  • Lead the investigation and root cause analysis of clinical incidents, near-misses, and member complaints  implementing corrective actions, documenting findings, and reporting to the Medical Director as appropriate.
  • Monitor and track clinical outcomes data, member satisfaction indicators, and safety metrics, presenting findings to leadership and using data to inform quality priorities.
  • Champion a culture of psychological safety where clinical staff feel confident raising concerns, reporting errors, and participating in improvement initiatives without fear of blame.
Regulatory compliance and IPAC
  • Ensure the clinic maintains full compliance with all applicable Ontario regulatory requirements, including College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) standards, applicable College standards for allied health disciplines, and Ontario Health regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee the clinic's Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) program in accordance with Public Health Ontario guidelines and Ontario Regulation 261/17  including staff education, environmental audits, outbreak protocols, and documentation.
  • Manage the clinic's medication management, storage, and administration protocols in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain all required clinical policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure the clinic is audit-ready at all times.
  • Stay current with regulatory changes affecting clinical practice in Ontario and proactively update clinic policies and staff training as needed.
Credentialing and clinical workforce management
  • Manage clinical credentialing for all regulated practitioners  tracking registrations, certifications, and licences, ensuring renewals are completed on time, and maintaining complete, audit-ready records for every clinician on staff.
  • Ensure all clinical staff are practicing within their authorized scope under the applicable regulatory college, and escalate any scope or practice concerns to the Medical Director promptly.
  • Coordinate clinical staff scheduling, coverage, and on-call arrangements to ensure appropriate clinical capacity across all service areas at all times.
  • Manage clinical supply inventory  overseeing procurement, par levels, expiry tracking, and equipment maintenance in coordination with the operations team.
Member experience and clinical advocacy
  • Serve as a senior clinical resource for members with complex needs, clinical questions, or care concerns  responding with warmth, expertise, and appropriate escalation to the physician team.
  • Collaborate with the Care Coordinator and Client Experience team to ensure seamless integration between clinical and concierge functions, with the member's experience at the centre of every touchpoint.
  • Support the development of clinical education materials, member health resources, and preventive care communications in collaboration with the physician team.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)  required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) required; a graduate degree in nursing, health administration, or a related field is a significant asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2–3 years in a clinical leadership, charge nurse, or nurse management role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary clinical teams in an outpatient, primary care, or private clinic setting.
  • Strong working knowledge of Ontario regulatory requirements, CNO standards of practice, IPAC guidelines, and applicable health legislation (PHIPA, OHSA).
  • Proven track record in quality improvement, clinical audit, incident management, and the development of clinical policies and protocols.
  • Experience with clinical credentialing, workforce management, and scheduling in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills  confident, warm, and credible with both clinical staff and members.
  • Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and digital clinical workflows; experience in a modern, technology-enabled clinic is an asset.
  • Current BLS/BCLS certification.
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or experience as an IPAC lead is a strong asset.
